Onkyo Japan has announced another of their interesting product, the PP-D1, which is another one of those portable DLP projectors that you can carry with you. This is not the first time we have spotted palm size DLP projectors that you can easily slip in your pockets. This particular model by Onkyo is capable enough to project an output image with resolution of 854 x 480 and that as well with 80 ANSI lumens brightness. For many folks that might not be enough but for portable DLP projectors powered by rechargeable batteries, this is quite normal. The Onkyo PP-D1 DLP projector has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 with lamp life of up to 20,000 hours. It has built-in media player functionality. SD/SDHC card slot, mini USB port, mini-HDMI port and 1Watt mono speaker.
For those interested, the Onkyo PP-D1 portable DLP projector sells for about $375 which is a bit on the expensive side but who is complaining as we all know that Japanese projects always cost you a lot.
