Like other manufacturers who are keen in popping their latest creations ahead of the CES 2011 exhibition, LG has also unveiled its new Cinema 3D TV, the LG LW6500 which lets you watch 3D content without the use of active shutter 3D glasses. We have also seen similar versions of 3D TV in the past, one of them was the EIZO DuraVision FDF2301-3D TV, which also offers 3D viewing without 3D shutter glasses and this surely enables consumers to save some extra bucks.

According to LG, the new 3D TV LW6500 will offer flicker-free and blur-free images that can be enjoyed by anyone. Thanks to the 3D glassless TV, now you can enjoy 3D content with all your family members. LG LW6500 3D TV offers better brightness and clarity levels. The LG LW6500 has all the advantages of Smart TV which includes access to LG Apps and a wide range of premium content from global as well as local sources such as YouTube, HuluPlus etc. Other features of LG LW6500 CINEMA 3D TV include local dimming, TurMotion 200Hz, 2D to 3D conversion, USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4, smart energy saving, DivX Plus/HD, DLNA, Wi-Fi, DVR ready, wide angle viewing etc.

Exact price and availability has not yet been announced and according to LG, it will be revealed after the 2011 CES exhibition.

  1. For watching 3D movies and Netcast web TV, LG has released BX580 3D blu ray player. Consumer will be able to connect it to the hard disk drive.
