Sony Ericsson has just announced a new gadget with the name LiveView. LiveView lets you stay connected with your Android phones without taking them out of your pockets or even your bags at 10 meter distance. It will not be unfair to say it is an Android phone hookup device with a mini display screen for displaying important alerts such as email, RSS, messages etc.

The small 128×128 screen size with 11.0 x 35.0 x 35.0 mm dimension will give you exact idea how compact this gadget is. It only weighs 15 g and the screen is a 1.3” color OLED display. In appearance, it somewhat resembles that Apple iPod nano which was released just a month ago. LiveView has a total of two hard keys and four soft keys. The device can be clipped to your shirt, pant and attached easily to a wristband. It charges via microUSB connector that comes with it and as mentioned above will work up to 10 meters away from your Android phone. With Sony Ericsson LiveView you have full control over music playback. Other than this you will also be able to get alerts about incoming calls/messages, facebook updates, twitter updates etc.
The Sony Ericsson LiveView is compatible with every Android phone with OS 2.0 or above. No information on pricing and exact availability date was revealed at the time of writing.
