Apple has just announced its updated version of the iPod nano which is an even compact design along with the addition of multi-touch display. The new iPod nano is only 8.78mm thick and weighs just 21.1 grams. The device is 40.9mm wide and 37.5mm in height.

The new iPod nano comes in two versions, 8GB and 16GB both of which have a music playback time of up to 24 hours. The device also has an FM radio and a very handy clip so that you can attach it with your shirt, pocket or anywhere you like. The new iPod nano features a multi-touch display of 1.54 inch (diagonal) size having a screen resolution of 240×240 pixels.

The new iPod nano comes in six attractive colors with the 8GB version priced at $149 and the 16GB iPod nano having a price tag of $179. These are currently available from Apple store.
