The title pretty much says it all. PQI Japans has just announced the availability of its WiFi enabled portable hard drives codenamed Air Bank. The PQI Air Bank HDDs are in 2.5″ form factor and will also be compatible with USB 3.0 speeds. The HDDs also have LAN connectivity along with WiFi. The PQI Air Bank runs on Lithium Polymer battery that is claimed to last up to 8 hours of continuous usage.
The PQI Air Bank will be available in 500GB and 1TB capacity with prices starting at about
$164, see details. This is one of a kind self powered portable HDD we have spotted in the tech world with promising signs of more of similar devices to pop up in near future.
