Western Digital has just introduced its newest version of the WD Black HDD that will be made available in 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, 3TB and 4TB capacities all in 3.5″ form factor. Whats so special about the new Western Digital Hard drives is that these are equipped with High Resolution Controller (HRC) which is responsible for increasing data accuracy of HDD.
The new WD Black HDD also has Vibration Control Technology (VCT) as well as Corruption Protection Technology (CPT) to prevent accidental data loss. The hard drives have SATA 6.0 Gbps interface and will have a 64MB of cache memory. It has the same 7200RPM spindle speed.
The Western Digital HD Black HDD is still waiting to receive official price tag. It has started shipping with 20% discount price at Amazon (details here).
