Transcend definitely does not want to be left behind as far as the Solid State Drive market is concerned and having said this, we have a new line of Transcend SSD740 SSDs just announced in a recent press release.
According to Transcend, the SSD740 SSDs will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB sizes in 2.5″ form factor. There new SSDs are equipped with JMicron JMF667H controller and have SATA 6.0 Gbps interface.
As claimed in the PR, the new Transcend SSD740 solid state drives can reach maximum read and write speeds of up to 530MB/s and 470MB/s respectively. Price and release date are yet to be announced. These are available via Amazon (see details).
