When it comes to rugged USB flash drives, Kingston is not well known until now when they have just announced their latest addition to the line of rugged portable storage in the form of Kingston DataTraveler R400 flash drive series. Unfortunately these are only compatible up to USB 2.0 interface. The DataTraveler R400 rugged USB flash drive comes in attractive rubberized body and has been made both scratch and shock resistant unlike most of the other USB flash drives. These rugged flash drives supports write speeds up to 10MB/s and read speeds up to 25MB/s. Measuring just 70mmx22.68mmx12.40mm, the new Kingston DataTraveler R400 rugged USB flash drives are available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities for $11, $17, $29 and $64 respectively.
