Intel has just announced its new DC S3500 series solid state drives which is designed for data centers and will be made available in size ranging from 80GB up to 800GB. The DC S3500 SSDs will be of 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch form factors.
The new Intel DC S3500 series solid state drives pack 20nm MLC NAND Flash memory and will have SATA 6.0 Gbps interface. Like other SSDs being released recently this one also has 256-bit AES hardware encryption.
These Intel DC S3500 solid state drives can reach maximum read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s respectively. Prices start at $115 only (see details).
