HP announced this time another version of Spectre XT series which will come with additional larger display unit i.e. 15-inch with 1080p IPS technology (which is for the first time any in HP device). The devices is categorized under Smart Utlrabook family, though its not smart enough like other ultrabooks; the Spectre XT TouchSmart is weighed around 4.77lbs and measured 17.9mm thickness.
HP designed the Spectre Xt TouchSmart for the upcoming Windows 8 OS thats why its Touch features will follow according to the Windows 8 support. While looking at inside, the new HP Ultrabook consists of :
- 15-inch touchscreen IPS display with 1,920 x 1,080 resolutions
- Intel Ivy Bridge processors
- Internal storage : Either Hybrid hard drive paired with a 32GB SSD (expecting)
- Ports : Ethernet jack, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 socket, a memory card reader, a 3.5mm headphone port and last but not least for the first HP system to have a Thunderbolt port
The last feature of Thunderbolt port makes this a high performing Ultrabook as users can connect to external hard drives with a speed that matched the internal disk to get both capacity and the performance at optimum level.
In addition with hardware features the HP Spectre XT TouchSmart comes with a two-year subscription to Norton antivirus software as well as full copies of Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. And also when you purchase it from HP Direct then you can get generous two-year warranty. But to have this HP Spectre XT Ultrabook you will have to wait till the holiday season when it will be open for its customers.
