Dell has just released a new Alloy Edition of the Dell Inspiron 15R Laptop which has a very attractive looking aluminum finish with more or less the same specifications as the Inspiron 15R laptop. The top lid also has a very elegant looking wave pattern done from alloys. This Alloy edition by Dell seems to have been inspired by the ASUS Eee PC 1218, which is a 12″ netbook having the same aluminum finish.
Dell states that the new Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition Laptop has a newly designed 15.6” widescreen LED-Backlit high-definition display giving users an optimum 15” screen resolution of 1366 x 768. CPU is of course any of the new Intel i3, i5, i7 quad-core with up to 8GB of 1066MHz DDR3 RAM. Users will have the option to have either of the Intel HD standard GPU or the Radeon HD 5650. The new Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition Laptop also has SRS premium sound. Hard drive has storage up to 750GB. Optical drive will either be a standard DVD/CD burner or the most in-demand Blu-ray drive. With an optional 9-cell, this 15R laptop can give you a battery life of up to 7 hours which for a 15.6” laptop is a lot of time.
Unfortunately Dell has yet to announce price and availability date for the new Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition Laptop.
