ADATA has just released information about its new ADATA S511 solid state drive (SSD) which has SATA 6Gb/s high-speed support which is required in plenty of high data rate applications such as HD media streaming, gaming etc. More details about ADATA SSD can be found below.

According to a recent press release, the new ADATA S511 solid state drive makes use of the new generation SandForce SF-2200 series controller to bring high-speed performance with read and write speeds of 550MB/s and 500MB/s respectively. The new ADATA S511 SSD also supports 4K random write speeds going as high as 60,000 IOPS. This is as fast as transferring 1GB of data in just 3 seconds. The drive is Windows 7 compatible and gives a boot time as low as 23 seconds.
The new ADATA S511 solid state drive (SSD) is available in 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities. Still no word on price and exact availability so stay tuned for updates.
