Acer has just introduced two new multimedia laptops in the Acer Aspire Ethos line, the 5951G and 8951G laptops with some great features and specifications. These new Acer Aspire Ethos Laptops are of course powered by Intel 2nd Generation processors and made into complete aluminum-magnesium allow chassis. The Acer Aspire Ethos 5951G laptop has a 15.6 inch screen and depending upon user choice, is powered by Intel Core i3 up to Core i7 processors. Other features of the 5951G include up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, high graphics Nvidia GT 555M or GT540M GPU, up to 750GB HDD, your choice of optical drive such as Blu-ray drive, Blu-ray burner, DVD-combo etc.
On the other hand, the Acer Aspire Ethos 8951G laptop has a large 18.4 inch display and is also powered by the same Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors. Other than the screen size, the rest of the features of both the laptops are the same. One interesting features in these two Ethos Laptops is detachable trackpad that will also serve as a multimedia remote control when watching movies or listening to music.
Acer states that they plan to release both the Aspire Ethos 5951G and 8951G laptops by mid-Jun 2011 at starting price of $1643 which by no means can be considered cheap.
