Recently Sony unveils two cyber -shot HX-series 16.2 megapixel digital cameras; DSC-HX100V and DSC-HX9V both of them capable of shooting Full HD videos and capturing images upto 16.2-megapixel “Exmor R” back-illuminated CMOS sensor with powerful optical zoom feature.
The DSC-HX100V cyber-shot will be the first sony compact digital camera that comes with 27mm Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonar T lens with 30x optical zoom range for detailed close-ups of distant subjects. It has powerful optical zoom of 30x which would hardly found in any of the compact digital camera. While the second DSC-HX9V cyber shot offers a high-performance 24mm Sony® G lens along with 16x optical zoom.
The DSC-HX100V cyber-shot is designed according to the layout of larger DSLR models having following advanced features which are also found in the DSC-HX9V model:
- Record Full HD video with 1920 x 1080 resolutions and 60 progressive frames per second
- Intelligent Sweep Panorama™ HR (High Resolution) mode
- 3-inch 921,000-dot Xtra Fine LCD™ display
- Dual Record mode
- Image stabilization system with 3-way shake cancellation
- Create Personal 3D Content
The Intelligent Sweep Panorama™ HR mode allow you to capture up to 42.9 megapixel panaromic image with crisp 10480 x 4096 resolution which would neither found in any digital compact cameras. On the other hand its 3D function works in 3D Sweep Panorama™ mode or the 3D Still Image mode.
In short, the features mentioned above about these two Sony Cyber-shot HX cameras are not less than any of the today’s DSLR camera but may be more than that. Both of these cameras are will be available in April online at Sonystyle.com, at Sony Style® retail stores and at authorized dealers nationwide. As far as the price is concerned, the DSC-HX100V will be available at $450 while DSC-HX9V will cost about $350.
