Usually we have seen many rugged camera having resistance against dust, water, shock, etc. but they generally have low in image quality. Sony has announced its HDR-GW77V camcorder with rugged nature but retain the best possible image quality like in other camcorders.
Sony called this camcorder Sony 77V with motto of “life on the go”. It gives resistance against water up to 16 feet and against shock up to 5 feet depth. So it can be best suited to cover underwater coverage and the camera display automatically adjusts the White Balance when underwater so that colors look natural to your eyes. Looking at its highlighted specs we found that the camcorder has:
- 3″ 921k pixels touch screen display
- 20.4 Megapixel Sony EXMOR BSI sensor with 17X optical zoom
- Full HD video recording up to 1080p
- Built-in Flash
- Built-in GPS and NAVTEQ maps
- 16GB of built-in storage
- SD/SDHC/Memory Stick support
Sony HDR-GW77V camcorder will be available by the end of this month at price of $700 which looks pretty expensive but its features pay the price as Sony claimed.
