JVC has just added two more camcorders to its product line. These are rugged camcorders which can handle physical abuse to some extent such as that these will continue to record videos even at temperatures as low as -10 Celsius. The new JVC Everio Quad Proof camcorders come in two models, GZ-R70 and GZ-R10, both of which are water resistant up to 5m and will withstand drops from as high as 1.5m.
Both the JVC Everio camcorders have 40x optical zoom lens and a 2.5MP back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with improved audio recording during zoom. On single charge, the new JVC Everio Quad Proof camcorders will last for up to 4.5 hours of recording. According to the source, the JVC GZ-R10 camcorder will start shipping in March 2014 at a retail price of $399.99 , now for much less at Amazon[+], and the JVC GZ-R70 camcorder will be made available in April 2014 at a retail price of $499.99.
