Canon has just announced another great product, the Canon PowerShot SX230 HS digital camera with 14x optical zoom and built-in GPS functionality. Besides the GPS receiver, this handy digital camera is also capable of shooting 1080p high definition (HD) videos. Like other Canon HS series cameras, the Canon PowerShot SX230 has also been optimized for low light conditions and does not require flash most of the time.
The Canon PowerShot SX230 HS camera has an integrated GPS receiver which automatically geo-tags the images so that viewer can easily find the exact location where those pictures were taken. Other than the geo tag feature, the SX230 HS also comes with mapping software for logging your location which can be a handy feature for tracking your route.
The Canon PowerShot SX230 HS camera is a 12.1 mega pixel camera which has Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor allowing the user to capture more detailed pictures. The 1080p HD video recording feature is also a plus for digital cameras. More or less, the Canon PowerShot SX230 HS camera shares the same other features that are found in most of Canon’s HS series cameras. The Canon PowerShot SX230 HS digital camera has a price tag of $350 only and will start shipping in March 2011.
